A Fine Day
– for flying. It was quite windy with a northwesterly at 13 knots with gusts to over 20, I think, and so it was quite turbulent below the inversion (which you can see in the main photo as a the top of the white band). I felt a bit queasy with the movement after a few weeks off flying, but I managed a spin and some aerobatics without trouble.
I'm current again and I can fly a student tomorrow. The Extra photo is of the airfield, a former Harrier base near Stamford. I'm just turning downwind for the first of several circuits. That's Peterborough in the distance, southeast of me.
I couldn't do much about the reflections in the canopy.
