Plettenberg Bay Lagoon
One of the reasons we returned for eight nights in Plettenberg Bay (South Africa) is the tidal lagoon. We so enjoyed wading across the water onto the sand banks as seagulls surf the air currents and local dig for clams. It is so relaxing.
Low tide was about 11am this morning but the weather was overcast as forecast. Getting on to the main sandbank or beach and it started to spot rain with dark clouds over the mountain, so after about half hour we headed back to the car. I took a few photographs and my favourite is of this family on a sandbank about to wade across the water.
We went for a drive around the area this afternoon and will be out tonight for dinner.
