Roosters and Hens

About a mile from the house on my route back and forth to work, one of the residents have many hens and roosters who always end up on the side of the road or in the street or in someone's yard or you know, "why did the chicken cross the street?" Inevitably I would say about 3 or 4 of them a month end up dead in the road. I am always surprised though at how colorful and busy they are.
