More little things

Dull grey days have become the norm this year, not very favourable for landscape or bird photography. So I've been investigating tiny things in the garden, looking for additions to our site list which currently numbers about 1600 species. 

The lichens on this twig are both very common - whiskery, grey Physcia adscendens and yellow Xanthoria parietina, but neither had been formally recorded from the garden before today!
