Taking a break

This is my daughter, Ally Cat in front of  Manhattan Beach Pier.  It is the oldest standing concrete pier on the West Coast.  The gorgeous sunset views from this location make the pier a popular spot for artists, photographers, tourists, and locals alike.
Surfers frequent this area for the waves and can sometimes been seen weaving in and out of the mussel-covered pilings below the pier. There is a 22-mile bike path called, The Strand" that runs along the beach.
