Recordings

From 3rd December 1946 to today would have been a birthday celebration of 66 years.

This is my Dad's camera- it was the start of a collection of many.
He took this Box Brownie to Italy with him in the early 60's on a school trip, that my Grandma had 2 or 3 jobs to pay for. I remember my awe upon discovering those tiny little square prints of the Bridge of Sighs & St Marks Square for the first time..

He was someone who always seemed to show me new things, encouraged me when I was awkward & shy & was the parent whom I always sought solace in first.

In recent months, I have taken ownership of all my Dad's cameras & they sit on the shelves alongside mine.
They stand as a little reminder that in each recording of my life, there is that little spirit of Stanley David in me........oh & undeniably, my son....!
