Westhay Nature Reserve

We decided to go over to the Somerset Levels today. Unfortunately the SatNav on the VW is a bit variable as we headed for Godney and it took us down a track ! After some muttering from my driver we ended up at Westhay and did a walk around the drove tracks on the reserve . It was so peaceful despite it being a popular spot .
Along the way we spotted many little egrets as well as two great white egrets which seemed huge . There were lots of hides to linger in too .
The extra was a log with numerous birds carved all over it which I thought was beautiful.
