Chill out

We went to the local spa/sauna today for some relaxation and pampering. It is usually really busy on Sundays but I took a punt on it being quiet as a lot of people are returning from holidays and schools start back tomorrow. I was right: the car park was practically empty and inside the sauna area was quiet. We started the day in the indoor/outdoor heated pool which has massage jets. There was still plenty of snow lying around and I love watching the steam rising from the pool when it is cold outside. The swans had gathered on a melted section of the frozen lake so I snuck out with the iPhone to take a photo (photography is banned in the sauna area).
We had various themed saunas and had to try the new salt sauna. The walls are built with backlit Himalayan salt blocks and looks pretty impressive. Salt saunas are great for exfoliating the skin (see link https://www.sole-felsen-bad.at/en/sauna-world/explaining-the-steam-applications/809-salt-steam-application.html ) and are often followed by a honey sauna but I chose the olive oil and rose cream application in the steam bath.
Every time we go to the sauna we come away saying that we must go more often but it is hard to find the time.
