Past Their Best By Date

No prizes for guessing the subject. I'd kept these gourds since summer waiting for them to rot.

This is not a straight shot. It's overlain with a texture of mildly crumpled paper over which I put a layer filled with gold. (ish). Overlay mode and combined layers. Then I put that image over the gourds and used Vivid Light as blend mode. A slight reduction in opacity. Certainly gives a punch to the shot.

Gym this morning. Took Basil to the Outwoods for his walk late afternoon. He was thrilled to go running about and meet other friends, but he stuck close as it got dark.
