Ruddy Cushats!

Seem to have very educated palates.
Broad beans - NOT interested.
Garlic? - NO.
Milder Elephant garlic - NAY, Mr. Wilkes!
Leeks - Get lost matey.
Brassicas - "AYE, we're up for that, ALL the Cruciferae are good for us; tuck in lads."
They were bought late, almost to save their lives, should have been bought YONKS ago.
Having been supremely idle today, I sallied forth, ere dusk, like that well known bear - "to see what I could see."
NOT "the other side of the mountain" though, evidence of Cushat crunched cabbage family.
I therefore applied my pea climbing netting as a bit of a distraction.
