Historical enactment at the Alamo

This photo, and the extras are of folks in period costumes at the Alamo. They had wonderful tales to tell about life in those times - from being able to re-load a musket in 20 seconds, to the shot used in cannons with the equivalent of 300 ball bearings in a canister (a cannon ball plus one canister used at a 50 yard range - and a cannon ball and two canisters used at closer ranges). The tents and the wooden benches slept on in the tent did not look like anything we would like to go camping in today - definitely not glamping.
