It's Been A Funny Week On The Canal

Have come across at least three usual events this week, today as we reached Silburns Lock the Towpath was blocked by a horse and rider. While I kept the dogs quiet and out of the way, Mrs A S went to give assistance. The horse and rider had a companion on the other side of the hedge but was reluctant to join it, out of sight of the camera Mrs A S made a few adjustments to the branches and the horses and riders were reunited.
Got the first furniture in to the study, oh boy do we need to sort and discard some "stuff" don't understand how we still have more stuff than room even after the extension!
The other events on the canal this week! coming face to face with a deer in the middle of the morning! A brief loss of two dogs for a moment to followed. Another day in the canal basin two figures were throwing weighted ropes in to the water and slowly drawing them back. I had to ask ? the reply "magnet fishing" was the answer. I had to tell them it had recently dredged :(
