Resignation
The Yeovil players were left looking dejected at the final whistle after this afternoon's 1-0 defeat at home to Bury. This is Bevis Mugabe, seated and Carl Dickenson, hands on hips on the right, who had just missed a chance to equalise with the last touch of the game.
In truth, a draw would have been a travesty as they were by far the better team and we only managed a couple of chances all game.
Our manager seemed resigned to hoping for a draw at best from the kick off, setting up to defend and hope not to concede, but that never really looked likely and, when we went one down, we then found it difficult to change our style of play. By the last 15 minutes, the players looked worryingly resigned to defeat as well, though you couldn't fault their efforts. It's just that they seem to be lacking direction or ideas from the manager; the calls for his resignation continue to grow.
We fans are becoming resigned to yet another relegation battle.
