Saint Nick

Saint Nicholas celebrations today in the Netherlands: a chocolate letter, gifts, stories and songs. We purchased a Garmin GPSMap 62s as a gift to ourselves. This replaces our twelve year old Magellan Sportrak Map. I purchased the chocolate letter this morning at the Dutch delicatessen in our town. S my middle initial.

The Saint Nicholas book is illustrated by Johanna Frederika Langeler (Amsterdam, 4 april 1899 - Laren, 18 march 1948). Freddie Langeler was self-taught and learned the trade especially from her husband. The couple made drawings for children's books, both in partnership and each separately.
