Strange Week

We had no heating or hot water from New Years Eve until Thursday afternoon.  It turned out to be a leak due to a corroded pipe under the dining room floor and involved the carpet and floorboards having to come up but the plumbers were brilliant and moved the furniture for us and put it all back and even gave the floor a hoover.  We really do take central heating and hot water for granted these days and it was a shock being without them.  The heating wasn't so bad as we have an electric fire in the living room but I did miss my showers and just turning the tap on to do things in the kitchen.  So grateful things are back to normal now.

Mr YB and I have been doing this jigsaw.  It's only 500 pieces but is quite tricky.  I've also been knitting and have started to do a photo book.  I do one every January for the previous year.  

A very dull day today.  We just had a short walk through the park.
