Normal service is being resumed, down to the Tiq for a Deuchers or three with J & G and a chat about New Year festivities, the Jambos and Brexit. Past, present, future. Interesting times!
We had a marathon boiler repair session today as 'Guy the great' stripped the thing down and replaced every seal and gasket to be found. At the end of all that we switched the heating back on ... and there was a leak! A dodgy seal to a redundant expansion tank - it's now capped off. The boiler looks like new, here's hoping it has another 20 years in it! Waiting to hear from the downstairs neighbour, has she still got a drip coming through her bathroom ceiling? The suspense is killing.
