That Time of Year

Our lovely neighbor P has invited our youngest daughter G and her bff N to her home every year around this time, to decorate gingerbread houses. They've been doing it since they were in first or second grade - and they still look forward to it. Besides, P's home is a veritable Christmas village inside, filled with every kind of nostalgic whimsy and shiny bauble that spells "Christmas," each with its own story.
