Mozart's Requiem, Stefansdom

yesterday and today i finally got to see one of my favourite pieces of music, Mozart's "Requiem," and to see it in Stefansdom made it all the more amazing. Earlier in the day we had passed the flat in which he had written his part of it, one of the next tenants was someone called Beethoven! Mind boggling...

Anyways I digress. The Requiem is played every year on this night, in churches across Wien, timed to end at the minute of Mozart's death, somewhere after one in the morning...but i think that the combination of the music and the place removed you, in some way, from time itself.. An utterly wonderful experience.
