Mandarin

Christmas without mandarin oranges! I completely forgot to buy any along with the other festive food but I made up for it today and bought a pack.

My Nan used to tell stories of her Christmas stocking having a tangerine in the toe a wax doll and a penny. One year she spent the penny and got a good telling off from her mother when she was asked to give it back! 

Hard times! How different from the Christmas my grandchildren, her great, great grandchildren have just had.
