Baldrick and me.....
What a nice man Tony Robinson is!
Did I say he was diva? Well it just shows you shouldn't listen to gossip because he was great. The children loved him. I took loads of pics and managed to get one for the papers. With any luck it should be in the Advertiser tomorrow and hopefully the MEN. It was all organised through Urmston Book Shop and the guy who owns it was there too. He gave me a free copy of the book, which Tony signed for me, in exchange for some photos (photos of Tony's visit that is and not dodgy photos as one colleague hinted at....tut tut). I will get the pics on the website tomorrow and email the book shop. Another busy day...but I love doing it. I know it is a bit cheesy but I had to get my photo with Tony too !
It was the first day of Christmas plays today, I missed the infants as I was gadding with a celebrity....it's a hard life but someone has to do it....but I took loads of photos this evening of the junior shows. They all went well and the hall was packed.
I had a funny conversation with a child this morning. He is in Prep 2 and I recently gave him a reading book that has a page showing the alphabet in sign language. I'd given him the challenge to learn to sign his name and now every time I pass him he wants to sign something with me. This morning was no different....
Miss H say something to me by signing
I spelt out ...H E L L O
He looked at me aghast...Hell? Hell? he said loudly (as children were arriving with parents all around us)
I frantically tapped my fourth finger for the O. He pointed to each vowel on his fingers until he go to O....Hell o.......the penny dropped Oh, Hello
