Chaos in Ice

Bright sunny blue sky day with still a bit of snow cover, I took a scramble along the inlet which is in the shade. Still the contrast was high, since I went out late morning. I had to dodge in quite a few shadows to balance things out a bit.

Initially I was attracted by the chaos in this scene of a huge old willow branch sticking out of the ice propped up on its "legs" and all the debris strewn about.

When I zoomed in I became quite intrigued by the individual parts of it - may have to go back and focus on that.
