Hesperantha coccinea

I know this as a Kaffir Lily and still have a pot flowering by the front door.
I had to use flash with this photo as it was getting dark at 3.30pm. Infact it has been a very dull dark day, and so much colder. 2C but no frost.

Usual shopping this morning, and then baking an egg custard tart this afternoon, and preparing a Winter Pork and fruit Ragout for tea. The spices, cinnamon,cumin,coriander and mace smell gorgeous.
A perfect dish for a cold evening.
