Bolacha do Mar
The usual morning although we were a bit later for our swim and breakfast.
The day was planned for once more doing very little.
We spent the morning in the shadow of our Pousada Bar, until it got really busy a lunchtime, when all the party animals, that are still on the island came for the hair of the dog.
We spent some time in the water. It is just so nice to float in the Jacuzzi being gently moved by the waves.
After dark we set off to the village for some food.
It was still busy and we ended up at Analia again for another Moqueca.
On the way home we stopped at a cake shop, which is basically an open door and the cakes displayed on the veranda, and had a brigadier and an espresso.
We were home before midnight, Neil a bit tipsy.
I was hot and stayed another hour in front pf our hut and cuddled the old stray dog, that recently slept on our doorstep.
He is very fragile but this was the first time he showed some emotions and almost wiggled his tail.
That was all for today …….
Blipping this wonderful Bolacha do Mar, also called SandDollar.
It is the skeleton of an animal related to sea-urchins. They are very fragile and you do not find many whole ones at the beach at all.
