Much colder today. Dropped the boy off at his gran's and headed straight home to read The Pebbles on the Beach by Clarence Ellis. A classic of natural history from the 1950s, newly reissued with an introduction by the ubiquitous Robert Macfarlane. The perfect Christmas present for a winter's day.
