Silk Road Bazaar, London

Captured hurriedly on the way to the British Library (thus the awkward angle). It's a Charity Bazaar or shop operated by ACANSRS, a "private non-profit organization of scholars and others interested in the study of Central Asian civilizations and the Silk Road" based, surprisingly, in Cambridge Mass.! At the British Library we met our friend Alice, and visited a sprawling, excellent exhibition entitled "Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms". It included above all a great variety of manuscripts, roughly from 600 to 1200 A.D. Afterwards Liz D (another Oxford friend of Marylee's) joined us for dinner.
