New Year's Eve in Croatia

We had a tour this morning of the lovely resort town of Opatija on the Adriatic coast. Pictured is the fun group of people we spent time with. Our neighbours are on the 2nd and third right next to Hubby and their friends on the left. It was a lot warmer than back home and the sun came out around midday. When we arrived back home our friends went for a walk on the beach but Hubby and I decided to relax in the sauna and swimming pool. Unfortunately, the sauna area was chockers so we settled for a swim then went back to the room to get glammed up for the NYE gala night. The buffet dinner was fantastic, especially the fresh seafood which I miss in Austria. Our friends were so much fun but I missed out on a lot of the banter which I couldn't always understand or it got lost in translation. It was nearly 3 am by the time we got to bed. I can't remember the last time I stayed up so late.
