The Road Ahead

Of the 6310 miles I rode in 2018, around 3200 were on this, my trusty Elephant Bike. It was the bike that got me back on the road after the 2017 arm break. It carries everything I could possible need. It cruises along quite nicely on a Sturmey-Archer three speed hub. It suffered precisely zero punctures during the year. And it's bloody heavy....

With the commute being back on the bike, the work day being 9 to 5, the drawing up of a new to-do list, it all feels like that little period around Christmas and New Year where everyone is happy to let things slide a bit, well it's pretty much over. At least it's only a day to the weekend.
