January Happiness #2

I remember watching, some 35+ years ago, an interview with the late Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, who said "Manners", when asked what was an important thing that young people needed in life. Oh, how I laughed.  However, as the years rolled by, I came to realise, that in fact, she had a point. 

Today is the first Thursday of the month, also known as "Cake Day" when we indulge ourselves and celebrate those colleagues whose birthday falls during the month.  Of course, remembering the advice of Her Majesty, I felt it necessary to politely indulge in a very generous sized piece of this visual work of art disguised as birthday gateaux, because there are many colleagues whose birthday is in January.  It would have been rude not to.
