Cheeky birds

Unfortunately I never managed to get any good pictures of these mountain parrots, the Keas. After a stunning train journey among steep mountains and gorges we got off the train at Arthur's Pass where we watched these cheeky birds pulling off bits of rubber around car windscreens. I think car and campervan hire companies would not be very happy with the state of some of the vehicles when they were returned. Keas are notorious pests for local inhabitants because they can cause a lot of damage and fly off with things but are an attraction for tourists.
