Setting a deadline provided it is realistic, achievable and specific can motivate one to create. The feeling of having ample time creates a lack of urgency and a lethargic state of mind. Although having too little time can be counterproductive in that the task may seem insurmountable, a forced outcome will always be more productive than no outcome.
