Not a murmur
We went to Leighton Moss to watch the starlings. We had been there on Sunday, when we stood on the reserve and the starlings murmurated by the shore. This time we stood by the shore, and they murmurated over the reserve. They'd better know we don't give up that easily. Anyway, the snipe were feeding, a shoveler floated by (can't think why they're called that), and we watched the sun setting over Morecambe Bay. Then off for a cuppa.
