Popeye has been mithering...

...me all day to stop gel plate printing...

He has been sitting behind me on the back of my chair trying to push me off. Then he tried sitting wrapped round my neck and shoulders.

When that didn't work he tried sitting on my pile of prints, his tail sweeping them on the floor. Then he tried ignoring me, but kept turning to see if I had stopped printing. Then finally with a determined look on his face he looked as though he was going to take out the gel plate.

So, I had to stop to keep him happy. I sat on the couch so he could sit on me. He got on me. I thought he was going to settle and sleep, but after I had fed him his pork scratchings he upped and went to his hiding place under the couch...and stayed there all afternoon...

Sigh...

My foam stamps I made yesterday for gel plate printing today worked pretty well. The trick was not putting too much detail on them and keeping it simple. I wrecked two biros drawing the details on. They were old ones so that was okay. I save my old biros for odds and ends of stuff.

The foam stamp butterflies worked okay, and so did the others. The mermaid looked a bit like a ghoul face, I should have just done 2 eyes and no more. The best one I liked was the castle. I made a castle and a couple of extra towers to add to the side. They were fun to play around with. In the future, I would like to do some more on the castle and work more ideas on that.

So a few bits of the gel plate printing are in the extras.

Popeye doesn't like me doing any art work or creative stuff...he is sulking in the kitchen now...
