Who stole Santa's hat?

Thankfully Northern Rail had the first train running in time for us to catch our train to Newcastle this morning. Unfortunately after leaving Saltaire more or less on time, it was stopped outside of Shipley to check the tracks...

Tecnology at least allowed us to know a. which platform we would come in to and b. which platform we had to get to. We had approximately 1 minute to get from 1 to 8... thankfully no stairs were involved but still... Jacob got there first, shouting at the trainguard to hold the train. The doors were closed as soon as we'd boarded, thankfully this time it was the right train!

We had a short wonder round Newcastle with a look at the truly delightful Fenwicks Christmas windows, this year The Snowman. Oh that last window brought a tear to my eye!
