The chaos and the calm

Walked out to the lighthouse at Berwick-upon-Tweed with D. We were worrying it would be really cloudy on the drive over, but couldn't believe the waves when we got down to the water. The harbour is extraordinarily sheltered considering how close it is to the open North Sea, but has such a narrow entrance. It must be a nightmare negotiating it in high seas, even for the seasoned pilots. The added photo is the view back in towards the town for contrast!
