Belted Kingfisher

The day started with frosty fields and thick fog which did not lift till mid afternoon. We then drove to Sauvie Island, hoping to see Sandhill Cranes that winter there. I ended up with way too many pictures. The Cranes were there (in the extra) in large numbers, the mountains were beautiful, the fog was still lingering on the hillsides... In the end I chose the Kingfisher for the main blip. I've tried getting a capture of one for a long time.
