I'm Still Here

It has been almost exactly two years since I posted a blip. The past two years have been extremely difficult for me -- divorce, homelessness, unemployment, family grief, and more. But I'm still here. Still alive, and now employed and just renewed the lease on my apartment where I've lived for just under a year. I lack the faith or myopia to claim that this new year will hold great things for me, but that won't stop me from trying to better my life when I can scrape together the time and energy to work toward that. I will try to publish more books, I will try to find a better "day job," and I will try to blip more regularly. It may not be every day, but I hope to document this next year, as I wish I had managed to document the personal hell I went through in the past two.

This is the view from the balcony of my apartment. This looks down the local river valley, out toward Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains (on a clear day). Expect a few sunset photos, as I see some rather dazzling ones from here!
