Inside Stirling Castle

 
Today may be a Public Holiday but not for Hugo, the actor who plays the Master of the Royal Household, in Stirling Castle.
 
He was busy explaining to a group of Hungarian visitors  when I arrived, what his role would have been, basically to decide who should and should not be allowed to see the Queen.
 
We arrived there this afternoon with our visitors after they had walked to the top of Dumyat, the traditional walk on New Year’s Day.
 
 In the past I would have joined in the walk to the top of Dumyat but not today for I am still recovering from knee surgery.
 
See extra for photo of the castle from the battlements. I walked up there and regretted it afterwards.
