Back to the sea

In October we rescued an injured seal pup that weighed about 1.5 stone. It was taken to our sister aquarium/seal sanctuary for treatment and specialist care and although touch and go for a while it has maade a full recovery. So today now weighing more than 5 stones it was time to return it to the sea.

It was transported back to us and as you can see it took a team of four to carry it across the beach to the shoreline. It looked back a couple of times as it entered the sea but in no time was gone, hopefully to the rest of the colony on the sandbank.
