Great Gable - Happy New Year

The weather was set fair so we decided to drive around to Wastwater - one of my favourite lakes.  We hadn't been for some months and it was absolutely gorgeous with blue (almost) cloudless skies and lovely light.

There are a few in extras also taken in this beautiful place.

Spoke to No 1 son this evening and exchanged 'happy new years' and texts from No 2 son.  It is their grandmother's funeral tomorrow and they are both slightly anxious.  I wish I could be there to support them, but hopefully the exchanges today will bolster them up.
