On the eighth day of Christmas...

My true love gave to me,
Eight sparklers a-sparkling,
Seven glasses a-chinking,
Six presents for opening,
Five gol-den rings,
Four carousel gallopers,
Three festive revellers,
Two Mummers Players ( x 1000 = 2000 Mummers Players!)
And a fluffy cat sitting by a Christmas tree!


Today’s blip was made with the help of my surprisingly willing, and equally bonkers, helpers (though Chef did have difficulty with the 2!). Having gone to bed after seeing in the New Year, we were all up again, only four hours later, to see my brother and his wife off at 4.45am on their way to Singapore via Heathrow.

So after only five hours sleep, it’s been a very quiet day, eating up leftovers, catching up with blip and tv, including the New Year’s Day Concert from Vienna (another Christmas tradition) and The Railway Children, an oldie but a goodie.
