Counting down

At my in-laws, where we usually spend New Year’s Eve. A nice evening, with all the children making it until midnight without falling asleep. We watched the countdown to 2019 on television.

After wishing each other a happy new year, I went out to light the fireworks I bought with Nienke and Inge earlier in the afternoon. Even though one of the pieces we bought did not work at expected (in fact it exploded on the ground when it should have been 16 shots fired into the air), the rest was just beautiful and everyone enjoyed it.

Ariound two ‘o clock, it was time to sleep.
