Poinsettia
A day short of blip chances. Being Sunday I was late up Clickychick had just got in and we were considering lunch, then the phone rang. It was Cumbrian Cottages "could we take a booking for 4 nights" starting today. With nobody being booked in and the previous guests having left while we were in Edinburgh we hadn't prepped the Lodge.
So the answer was yes with the proviso they didn't mind not getting in until 6:00. The afternoon was a blur of activity but we were able to text the guests at around 4: saying all was ready.
With no daylight for an outdoor blip I settled Christmas Poinsettia. It is the first time we have had a variegated one. I wonder if I can get this one to survive. I have managed a few months before but never the full 12. Even if I did the fact our day length doesn't cause the bracts to colour at the right time would mean I had to fiddle with the photoperiodism.
