HART LANE, HARTLEPOOL

I'm jumping into kendallishere's One Street challenge with the road that makes up one side of the Square I live in. It's 2.5 miles long and runs from near the town centre out into the country past run down Victorian back-to-back houses and houses and estates from just about every decade since. It's not particularly picturesque - in fact far from it in places. It has a few shops along it, a pub, a school, a golf club, a church, a reservoir and lots of junctions, and once it gets out of town it rises up to give a great view of the town and the industrial estates of Teesside and the Cleveland and Yorkshire hills beyond on a good day. It's one of the main routes in and out of town so it's usually busy. And a huge advantage for me is that on a day like today, when the snow is falling and the gritters are out, I can blip it from my window!
