Happy New Year!

The sun was shining, the sea was calm and the power was on when we got to the island today! What a lovely last day of 2018! But oh my I did have to do a major clean of the frig that was without power for 9 days... and now refrozen so it was tempting to save more . If truth be told there was stuff way out of date as well..... but it needed it so the raccoons are eating well tonight and we’re adding lots to the compost. Couldn’t finish it all... H walked around and saw major trees down on our property to the west...bring camera he says! Yes. Tomorrow. Extra is our flags on the point the worse for the wear of the storm. ( but see what a nice day) Interesting that the windsock on the dock to the east was fine!
Blip is from the car driving up in BC around 830am... frost ( 32degrees) sun on weeds and blueberry bushes, train tracks, Vancouver BC buildings ,Rockies with snow. I loved the color combo.
Frustrating to just have the phone for internet (and that’s a maybe)
