Drinking With Friends

Amongst all the decorations, have a look for yourself
You’ll find there’s a glass that sits on a shelf
It might contain whisky or a sample of beer
It’s so we can drink with a person not here
They may have passed over or live far away
Whatever the reason they’re missed every day
You’ll know when time’s right, before the partying ends
Pause… raise a glass…. and say “to my absent friends”
