Ding Dong!

My last morning in London in 2012 and I found myself in Whitechapel in the East End. Hidden amongst the many dry cleaners, fast food outlets and minicab offices is one of the most amazing companies in the UK. The Whitechapel Bell Foundry is the oldest manufacturing company in Britain, established in 1570 - and it has been in constant production since then, producing such items as The Liberty Bell and Big Ben.

I popped into their small reception museum for 5 minutes and took a quick shot of the letter stamps used on Big Ben which are proudly on display. I'll be back to tour the foundry at some point.
