Stirling Middle

A fine signal box at Stirling Station and a listed building dating from 1901. A 96 lever control box, so I believe. It looks as if it could do with a lick of paint. The newly installed overhead electric lines rather detract from the building but we do have the occasional electric train now.

I wish you all an enjoyable Hogmanay celebration whatever you're doing or not doing tonight. We will be going to a friend's house to eat which is something lovely to do at the year's end. Complicated puppy sitting arrangements have to be made and we will be home before the bells. I imagine neither Otter nor Flora will enjoy the fireworks.
