New Bridge

Well after my endeavors earlier going to Newcastle the time I dropped off a workmate at his home on my drive home it was not long after midnight so I decided to take this shot of the work now proceeding 24/7 hrs a day now on the Forth where they are building a new bridge over The Forthyou can see all the cranes and lights of the five main sites that they are working on they were dropping a huge grab down into the nearest caisson to me and as it was coming out with sediment I could see the water still pouring out the grab as well so work is well under way and will post more shots as things progress during the build which is due for completion in 2016 so this is an early blip for the day of construction of the new bridge for the Forth they are also having a competition for giving it a name and the one that seems fitting as it covers both North and South towns with that name is The Queensferry Bridge but that is just my opinion as it is one of the names that has been circulating in papers and media
