Snowdrops
Found these little beauties nestling in the leaves alongside the bridal path going up to the village whilst taking Molly for her morning walk. They are supposed to be a sign of Spring (one only hopes) There is a lot of myths about the origin of the snowdrop I have looked them up and they are too long to relate here but the one I like, briefly, is when god created the world the snow was transparent and it asked the flowers for some colour but none would give it any except the little snowdrop who brushed some of it's white off for the snow, thats why snowdrops have green on the petals and centre. The snow was so grateful it said that the snowdrop was the only flower that would be able to peep out of snow and survive in winter as a sign that spring wasn't far away. now isn't that sweet.
It's interesting to look them up. Lots of poems too to the snowdrop.
Glad to say Maddy is back to her usual self. Eating as usual, and very chirpy.
Did my weekly shop today, leaving tomorrow to the mad crowd.
