Bath time

Today's the day …………………… to get excited

Life has stepped up a pace today with the arrival of Dominic and his Mum and Dad for a few days with us.  This is him straight out of the bath - but, as you can see, he's not looking as if he's ready for bed just yet!

His Mum, Melanie, was actually quite excited herself.  She's a collector of coins - and much to her delight - she was given quite a rare coin in her change today. It was a 50p coin featuring Paddington Bear on a day out at Buckingham Palace on one side (see extra).  The Royal Mint released two new Paddington 50p coins into circulation in 2018.  This was one of them and the other has the much-loved bear sitting on his suitcase at Paddington station.  Designed by David Knapton, the coins celebrate the 60th anniversary of the marmalade-loving bear that was brought to life in Michael Bond’s 1958 book entitled ‘A Bear called Paddington’.

This one could be worth a fair bit in the years to come ……………………..
